LUNCHTIME

At Casa Piedra we are open for lunch every Saturday, so if you need a quick bite whilst shopping choose from our delicious tapas or if you have more time order from our full menu.

At other lunchtimes the restaurant and bar is available for private party bookings.  Ideal for work/business lunch meetings, christenings, funerals, anniversaries, etc.  There is no charge for the hire of the restaurant you pay only for the food.  For menus and more details call 01242 578277 or email tanya@cptapas.com

For those of you not yet acquainted with tapas, they are Spanish-style dishes served in small portions. When enough tapas are served and in sufficient variety, they can easily replace a meal. They are usually displayed along the length of the counter of a bar or cafe to be ordered in a group, or individually.

Traditionally, and still in some bars today, tapas are simply a few olives or almonds, and perhaps a selection of cheeses, sausages, serrano ham or tortilla accompanied by a glass of fino sherry.

The ingredients that go into the making of Spanish tapas are limitless, and the combinations can stretch as far as the imagination. Vegetables, seafood, poultry, dairy and meat are all part of this healthy Mediterranean cuisine. The key to quality tapas is freshness and prime ingredients.

Tortilla may be eaten hot, but it improves immeasurably if cooled to room temperature and is at its best when allowed to sit for a few hours before serving.
